Playing House

I came downstairs the other morning and Jeff and Olivia were in this "house" that Jeff built for her. It was too cute!

She is also using her walker a lot more these past few days and has times when she stands all by herself!
She liked pushing her puppy around tonight and giving him kisses!

It's been a while since I've had my picture with Olivia, I'm usually the one behind the camera! So here are a few of Livie and me from today.

Our Little Explorer

Olivia has become the great explorer and is now exploring all levels of our home! Last week she started going up one step and by the end of the day was climbing up the entire stairs and crawling around upstairs! Oh! So many rooms she has not seen before!

She has also figured out that the kitchen cabinets and drawers open and there are many fun things to be found! I cleaned out a bottom drawer and put in some kid friendly items for her to play with. She now has three drawers to explore in the kitchen. We are hoping that will satisfy her and she will leave the cabinet doors closed. We'll see if this idea works, we are still trying to teach her what she can and can not open. I think she has heard "No Touch" more this week than ever before.

Twinkies, Reading, Crawling and Standing

Mmmm... Twinkies!

Jeff gave Olivia a few bites of his Twinkie yesterday and as you can see from the picture below, she thoroughly enjoyed it! I just hope she doesn't get my sweet tooth! Jeff rarely eats sweets, but when he does his choice is twinkies or king-dongs, mine... cookies!

 

She has finally started going to get her books and looking at them, she will bring them to us to read to her and have us hold as she flips through the pages. She was too funny yesterday with this book, she would turn the pages and talk and laugh!

Olivia is now a very fast crawler and has started to discover parts of the house she previously had no idea about, kitchen cupboards, laundry room, pantry, dining room, etc. It is too cute to hear the pitter patter of her hands as she crawls in the kitchen and hallway.

She is also starting to pull her self up a lot more and today got the walker toy all by herself and started cruising!  It won't be long before we will be running after her!

Snow Day

We bundled Olivia up and took her out to experience her first big snow today! After 5 minutes or so of wrestling her into her snow suit and boots, we were out in the snow for a whopping 1 minute, really don't think it was any longer than that. Olivia wasn't too impressed with the snow just yet, but she did seem to like sticking out her tongue and catching the snow flakes that were falling!

Tea for Two

We got this tea pot set for Olivia for her birthday and she just loves it. She will pour some tea and loves playing with the cups that came with it. She will even "drink" from the cup if you pretend to take a drink your self. It is too cute!

She had her 12-month appointment today, she still doesn't weigh 20 lbs, almost but she does have a few ounces to go. She is currently at 19 lbs, 10 oz and is now 29.5 inches tall.

New House

For Olivia that is!  She received this cute "Foam Sweet Home" house for her birthday! Last night Jeff put it together and this morning she played and played in it; looking out the windows, putting things on the sills, playing with the flowers and even standing up inside her new house!
