Great Grandpa Bob
This past week we went to Florida for Jeff's Grandpa's 92nd birthday! This was the first meeting for Olivia and G.G. Bob. She also got to meet cousins David and Ben. We had a wonderful time seeing everyone and celebrating another year for grandpa. Olivia had an exciting week, staying up late celebrating with everyone, playing with bubbles, going into the ocean waves, putting her toes in the sand and playing on the beach. But the highlight of our trip was Bob's birthday, what an amazing thing to be 92!

Little Monkey
Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' should be Olivia's theme song! That is one of her favorite things to do. She has also learned Patty-Cake and Jeff is working on Gimme' Five, so far she is picking it up pretty quickly. When she woke up this morning we notice another little tooth poking its way through, the would explain the increase in drool the last day or two :-)
Here are pictures of her rolling around the floor this morning and before bedtime the other night. She is so funny how she poses for pictures some times, sits straight and smiles big.

Our Little Pumpkin
Olivia had her 9 month check-up today, (even though she is 9 months and 2 weeks now)!
She weighs 18 lbs 3 ounces and is just over 27 inches long! 25 percentile for weight and 50 for height. She is such a little one :-)
She is still rolling all over the place and ventured out past the chair in the living room the other night. She usually stays pretty much in the middle of the room so this new area she thought was fun. She rolled towards Jeff's office while he was in there and then rolled toward the kitchen to see what was going on. She has put her knees under her belly and reaches for things but no crawling as of yet. Which we are ok with :-) Again, we don't want our babe growing up too fast. I actually had a hard time looking at the 12 month clothes at the store the other day. It is amazing how quickly her first year is flying by.
Here are some cute picture of her Halloween costumes for this year.

Chicken Dinner
Today Olivia had meat for the first time. Chicken was what we decided to try first and as you can see from the pictures below it didn't go over too well. Jeff and I tried it too, and it was very bland and had a strange texture to it, so I think instead of baby food chicken next time we will try to blend some on our own and see if she likes it.

What the heck did you just feed me!
Here are some cute pictures of Jeff and Olivia getting ready to go on a walk!

MaMa
Livie finally said Mama! Last night as we were all eating dinner she started saying mama, ma, mama! It was the nicest "music to my ears". This morning she is saying it again so we're off to a great start!
Olivia is 9 months today, she started sitting all by herself this past week. She has been working on this for a while and would do pretty good on her own with Jeff or I behind her to help with the wobbling. Jeff would sit her on the bed in the morning as he got dressed and she would just throw her self back, so we were a little worried about her noggin when she was on the floor :-) This week the wobbles have subsided some and she is now catching herself and not falling over as much. She really enjoys this new perspective of play and interaction and thinks it fun to sit next to Savannah.

This weekend our friends Rob and Stacie were in with their 2 kids, Drew and Alyssa. We all headed to the Oktober fest and had a great time and the rainy weather actually held off while we were there.
