Our little Olivia is getting her first tooth! I have felt a little "bud" for a few weeks and this past week the tooth is finally poking through her gum, slowly but surely.
This new tooth has also made for a new bedtime schedule. Our smooth, fun, bed time schedule is on hiatus, and hopefully returns soon! Right now she is staying up 1 1/2 hours later than normal and is needing to be rocked to sleep numerous times before she finally goes down for the night. I guess it doesn't help that she also got her 6 months shots this week. She is now at 15 lbs and some odd ounces, and is 26.25 inches long!
She is working on sitting by herself, gets a few seconds in before tumbling to the side or front, but likes to lean on mommy or daddy to play with her toys. She's not too into rolling over still, she has a few times, but she is still perplexed as to what to do with her arms once she is on her belly. A few times she has gotten stuck on her belly with her arms out to both sides and does not know how to put one arm up or down her side so she can roll back over, so she very quickly "asks" for our help :-)
She is a talker and loves to talk to us, she has the cutest laugh and squeals when her daddy starts to tickle and kiss her neck! It's fun to listen to her form new sounds and figure out how her mouth and voice works. For a while she had a fake cough, and was working on her "h" sound. A few times we think we've heard mama or dada, but not too sure :-)
Stacy, Michael, Riley and Emma were in from Savannah this week and Olivia went to Grandma Jane's to play while Jeff and the guys played golf (as I worked :-). She also got to meet Caroline and Claire. I think Olivia had a great time, she was pretty worn out by the end of the night.
Next week my brother's wife and their three girls are coming for a visit so it will be more fun time with cousins!
I think that's all for this week!
