Well here I am now... finished working for the day and Olivia is still napping!
Halloween
Halloween was a lot of fun, the weather was very nice for trick-or-treat and cousins Addi & Chloe along and both sets of grandparents came by to enjoy the fun. My parents stayed at our house to hand out candy so we could all go out with the kids.
Olivia was "Mary had a Little Lamb" complete with a lamb bag to collect her candy. She had a ball following Addi & Chloe from house to house and running around the neighborhood in the dark. As you can see from the picture below she also now loves M&M's! It is our new go to bribe / reward for doing as she is told and being good (which she generally is most of the time even with out the chocolate incentive).
Walt Disney World
The week before Thanksgiving Jeff's parents took us, his sister and her family and his brother & girlfriend to Walt Disney World. His sister is very pregnant and due any day, so they could not make it here for Thanksgiving or Christmas this year, so Disney World was the place to go. We had a ball! Stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is beautiful, got to seem animals outside of our room each day and Jeff got to enjoy a day of golf with his dad and brother-in-law at a PGA course!
Olivia go to meet her favorite character, Special Agent Oso, along with some others that she now talks about often. She loved the bus rides we took to the different parks and really enjoyed the Carousel, Pooh's Honey Pots and It's a Small World. She did WONDERFUL on the plane. We are glad we have such a good little traveler, hope this continues! She was still considered a "lap child" so we wondered how she might do with limited space of her own, but she listened really well on the plane, colored, looked out the windows and relaxed!
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was fun and busy. I had the week off and my brother and his family were in town. It is always nice to have our family all together. We only get to do this about twice a year so I am glad they were here! The six pack had fun, Olivia had to learn to share her toys and other things, which she is not used to doing, and had a few meltdowns at times, but she will learn. Some of it I think was still being sleep deprived from Disney since we got back the Monday before Thanksgiving and then the week of visiting.
Olivia is becoming more independent each day, she now want to do things by herself and requests this more and more. She is such a sweet, happy girl and to watch her grow is amazing, although I must say it is going way to fast some days. She will be 2 in less than a month, so hard to believe. We introduced her to her little potty earlier in October with some success, notice her stickers! But with traveling and the holidays she has lost the eagerness, so we will take her lead on this and try again later.
We are looking forward to Christmas and are starting to decorate a little, will probably get our tree in the next week or two!
